As also our project research suggests, survey participants have very clear expectations and ideas about how outdoor learning can be facilitated without negative consequences on learners but on the contrary: become a booster activity for productivity, creativity and increased learning outcomes.
As described in previous posts, certain outdoor activities such as hiking can be connected to problem solving and environment exploration – both of which work on the physical and cognitive skills of the participants in those activities.
Outdoor learning and outdoor education is an innovation that is slowly but surely entering the schools of the future, as people around globe including parents, researchers and youngsters are beginning to see the benefits of prolonged stays in nature.
